Contrary to popular belief, ignorance is not bliss. Ignorance is embarrassing. You'll just be a laughing stock among your peers. It's so much better to be an irritating know-it-all than to be labelled the village idiot.

Without the evolution of education, we'd still be living in a cave instead of sitting in comfort reading this.

The world has become a truly competitive arena where paper qualifications can make or break one's prospects. No employer is going to hire someone who's just out of school when they can hire a more promising candidate with a string of degrees.
You could say the value of an education can be measured in dollars and cents.
Fact is, a good paper qualification makes it easier to secure a job. The higher your educational achievement is, the better your chances are of getting that dream job. The better the job, the happier you are, the more you earn, the better your quality of life.
