Once the education is completed, a chiropractor would need to receive state licensure from whatever state they choose to practice in. A chiropractor can get a license in every state within the United States.
The most common technique used for today's benefits of chiropractic care is spinal manipulation. Roughly 90% of all spinal manipulations performed in the United States are done by chiropractors. With this technique, chiropractors maneuver the spine in a manner that will increase the range of motion within that joint of your body. This technique is almost exclusively performed by the hands of a chiropractor.
There are other techniques that a chiropractor can use to help your body receive the benefits of chiropractic including: the Activator technique, Thompson technique, Gonstead technique, Sacro-Occipital technique, Nimmo Receptor-Tonus technique, Applied Kinesiology technique, and manipulation with medicinal assistance technique.
